Likes like a front end rebuild is in order. I suspect that I filled the diff with silt when at the brazeau river, and it blew the axle seal and got into wheel, where it destroyed many small important parts:( it felt really solid until the last 10 seconds! That was a scary ride across 2 lanes of highway 43 at full speed

The caliper was only thing holding the wheel on, and it was ground into the aluminum wheel!

Yikes!

That looks not good.

Just wondering, did you have a factory inner seal or the skookum ones?

wow, glad to hear you got it to a stop in 1 piece!

Thing I am going to go check my diff's right now!!

I have not had to replace the axle seals yet, but will do that now on both sides. By skookum you mean the Marlin or Terrain Tamer seals?

Turns out the birf spindle was broken. Axle seal looked good still. But I'm swapping out everything. I don't know if the axle broke and caused everything else to fail, or the axle nut backed off first. Now that I'm thinking back I remember hearing the birf clicking when we aired down at Brazeau.
