I disagree, the raffles that I've been involved with have always been fun. Cruise Moab has a huge raffle and our Pig Party's have been great. It's a good way to enjoy the evening with a group of people. I'm not saying we need one here, just saying raffles are fun.

Sounds like you never won anything.

My main gripe with raffles and events is money changed hands and money changes the vibe.
Gatherings are simple.
