Searching the forum and looking at pictures on BaT of low mile (and I assume original paint) trucks hasn’t revealed the answer.

Did 1989 FJ62s have the unleaded fuel only sticker on the gas door? If yes, was it above the door or on it?

Interesting, haven’t see that before but makes sense. My ‘89 has the build/vin sticker in the door jam rather than the engraved plate in the engine bay so guessing it’s more similar to a ‘90
 
Im thinking the FJ62 Unleaded fuel decal started out on the exterior above the fuel door , then at some point was

switched to inside for unknown reasons ?

the grey truck's Photo Tag or Title says FJ62 , maybe the fuel door release topic is the Big Clue


i decided to Test Fit some of the Landcruiser Decals on My 05 Tundra , maybe its the Spectra Blu Mica Paint Code ,

but the shoe seams to fit .

i will be moving my unleaded fuel only decal from the door top of door on body , it looks sorta cheezy on the door and out of place , its a modern update concept vision to install atop the fuel door


take note of the Decal location , it seams maybe this is a 60 and a 62 examples do to the spacing perhaps

it's not funny , the word Decal came up when u first posted and i Cruised over right away to gain more Decal Knowledge etc....


Your Photos you submitted were way better then anything i had to date , and i wondered why 🤔


then i realized your Metallic paint Code must Help with Bottom Up Reflection at some level ? and evenly distribute the back ground lighting ......


anyway ,

the Mystery Deepens on the Unleaded Fuel Only long Thin Strip Decal ?

i just spoke to My Toyota Acct. and he said that thin strip decal is Disc. and NLA , But added it applied to all 3 FJ62 USA Spec.

Model years , and thats what i thought too , so now is where it goes ?




Side Note ,

i picked these up early yesterday , they will be Cloned and Ready soon ..........:cool:

Photos of an original paint 89 I have before repaint show one single unleaded sticker placed above the gas door.

It literally looks like the tank had a fire at one point.... it had not
 
Why would you want that sticker on the outside body...:meh:
