Watching a old Glen Ford movie on TCM last night and a old yellow corrugated top FJ40 drives past the camera. Wife isn't in to old movies show we watched a recording. Hit the record button. Recording over and movie is still on. Couple minutes later the 40s in again. This time a front shot. It has the LAND CRUISER stamped bezel. Not going to have to see if I can figure out if it's a 61, 62 or early 63. Don't remember ever seeing a early corrugated top cruiser in a movie before.

Edit: looks like it a 61, first year of the FJ40.

Googled "Rough Stuff" on our movie channels. o_O
Found it on Fleabay, own it, but haven't watched it yet.

The last few episodes of Fear "The Walking Dead" had a 80 series that 2 of the heroes used to escape the impending nuclear meltdown (sadly, it quit due to bad gas and now is an irradiated 80 series) and latest episode they have a 85-ish Toyota 4x4 decked out as a zombie apocalypse rig.

Wow... early 70s FJ40, a Nissan Patrol (!) and that Ford station wagon!

Watched a movie on Netflix a couple of nights ago called "Goldstone" takes place in the Australian bush... the 2 main characters drive Cruisers, and the operators of the evil mining conglomerate (dontcha know there's always one if those, the wankers) drive an assortment of 100 series, 200 series, HiLux's, and there's even some Patrols mixed in. Oh and it's a great movie BTW.
