Pulled the bumpers to send to powder coat. My old pull pins had completely frozen up so I cut them off and welded some new ones on. Can’t wait to get them back.

Haven't logged in here for a while.
The taco now has OME 883 coils, Billstein 5100's and a Dakar Leaf pack. No more stock height...so 3" lift.
Also after loosing money to the crooks at Peflrybilt I now have 4x innovation 1/4 steel front and mid skid.
rci lca aluminum skids.
Winjet blacked out tails in the rear installed. Plans are to save up for exhaust reroute and address the transfer, gas tank, and diff for armor. maybe some new headlights if im feeling fancy.

Trying to replace the struts on the Tundra today in the rain...

Slow progress. Seems I have too many different projects going on.

Mounted the grille back on the LX. Fresh powder coat and 316 SS hardware.

Pulled my leaking power steering pump and rebuilt it. Pretty straightforward rebuild, I did find that old outer pinion bearing minus the cage made a perfect fit for pressing the bearing back in the pump.

Spun one of my 4x4's (the blue f150) out on 635 north near metropolitan on Saturday in the rain and rolled it 3 times. No other cars involved thank God and not a scratch on me. So grateful to walk away...stuff can be replaced. Starting to think along the lines of replacing the 80 with a nicer version that I can daily drive and maybe put the hardcore wheeling on the back burner for a while. Then get another trailer buggy once we move to a spot with more room. This trailer queen ain't suited for a daily any more. Will street the 80 for a while while I figure out the next move. Wear your seatbelts kids!

Glad you're OK Mike!

Scary when that happens!

working on the front now. Back shocks, brakes, differential, done. Putting on new Weber carb, front brake pads, just finished master brake and clutch, welded skid plate under engine, welded battery holder and am hoping I don't have to touch the front axle. Am replacing cylinders in front brakes (they are rusted and they are cheap so am buying new ones). The more we do the farther behind we get !

Got Rhonda the redhead running for the first time in 1264 days. Still have some wiring cleanup to do. But hopefully she'll be on the street sometime in June.

incorrect headlight buckets but otherwise good score. Not that i notice such things. i have a whole front clip i'd like to hang in my office but don't think they will allow it here.

Good to know. I would have had no idea

The headlight buckets look about the same as the ones on my ‘65. I’d love to compare the color to the red on mine.
Yeah, Mike? I can’t decide if it’s seminole or freeborn

Cheap and simple sleeping platform.
