We (the geezers) should lobby for a senior citizen permit good for the rest of our lifetime. So much for after 50, half that after 60, etc. I'd pay $150 for a lifetime pass right now.
The guvmnit only charges $10 for a lifetime geezer park pass after 62.
EEK!You are about to get 1/2 your wish by the time you are eligible it will be $80 thanks to obama https://www.nps.gov/subjects/centennial/nps-centennial-act.htm

EEK!
It may be even more than $80 in a few years - the law says that the lifetime pass will cost whatever an annual pass currently costs.
Or if you have less than a year to live you can get an annual geezer pass for $20 that will last you a lifetime

OK new here, what are these permits for?
Did the state send you an email reminder (like I received last year)?Well it’s that time of year again, just ordered mine for the next year of fun. Great Christmas gift to yourself, don’t get caught without one.

Did the state send you an email reminder (like I received last year)?
I got my reminder at 00:03 Friday morning - coincidentally while I was camping on State Trust Land! What are the odds . . .Yes, I did get the reminder e-mail.
I’m hoping that AmericaThe Beautiful pass will also send a reminder.
Just a random question. Since it's BLM land, are these transferable to other states (I.E. Utah)?
I would guess not and would need a second permit due to the way the funds go....
