Looking good. We see a ton of evaporators that look like that on 60's and 80's
Believe it or not, I removed the evaporator 3 years ago to give it a good cleaning after a mouse made a home inside the blower housing. The system cools like never before and smells so fresh. I'm confused why Toyota didn't accommodate a cabin air filter. I can't imagine what our desert friends deal with.

Bought my first Lx 450, triple locked, 7 pin, Dobinsons lift, prerequisite ARB, winch. ( 5th Cruiser) rejoined Upstate ( first joined in 2001 I believe) built an aluminum roof rack on Sunday and took the whole family primitive camping on Wednesday. 4wd in and out.!!! Can’t wait to catch up with old faces and meet new ones. I’m in Charlotte area but work at Oconee Nuclear station for usually two months out of the year. Hoping I can Ride through Horse pasture or something again. Jump off rock too. See y’all soon

Awesome!

Traded the road bike in for more dirt time. Love the 29 and full suspension combo. The 26 hard tail is now the kid’s ride (which is still my favorite bike ever and sooo far ahead of what I had at her age).

@Bryanseye where do you like to ride?
This was in Inman at Holsten Creek park. Haven’t ridden dirt much since moving to SC but eager to get out more. We have Croft State Park over here but I have eyes on Stumphouse and DuPont for a long day.

Let’s see I have quite the list.

Troll Patrol lx450- replaced valve cover gasket ,tube seals, plugs and wires. Installed an oem 93-94 radiator. Dual batteries with a blue sea acr controller. Built and modified the 4x4 labs front bumper. Also built a 4x4 labs rear bumper with dual swing outs.

Moved it lol.

Time for a transfer case rebuild as the leak is worse. Also need a Speedo cable.

I acquired a stout a few month back. Got it to run in about 15 min but it would take a lot to bring it back. So the plan is to put a v-8 in it and bag it with a new rear axle. I think it will make a great shop truck with shop logo on the doors keeping the patina.

40th anniversary- only thing I have done is change the injectors and drive it very very little.
Lx470 has had little done as well other than cleaning the funky seatbelts. It’s due for a timing belt.
FJ40 aka Big Gay. Changed the spring bushings and weld a new shackle hanger on. Wheeled it at the Relic Run with Duncan a few weeks back. No problem. I hadn’t driven it for over 6 months and it started right up and drove the 6 hr round trip and a full day of trails. Love that truck. Dickie Bell with no front locker though I thought it was working and my driving skills sucked.

I have other cruisers but these seem to be the ones at the top of my list, as well mine are at the bottom of the 54 cruisers at the shop currently.

Often wondered this but never asked. Does anyone know why the intake was designed like that? The location makes sense, but the baffle (?) arrangement looks like it has a specific purpose.

My Guess is water is heavier than air and if it entered the intake it would sling it back into the container first. Could also just be a noise canceling devise.

Changed oil in transfer case and transmission. Got to check the front and rear diff's next.
