97 80 series with lockers, what is the best way/parts/lift to keep the lift/vehicle/CG as low as possible and add droop to the travel.

Depends on the coils and shocks already on it, but if you are maxing out your current shocks and not the links, etc, longer shocks would usually be the place to start.
In my opinion, the original 80 series lift kits like OME didn't hit it out of the park but were cheap easy and better than stock. I think nowdays a couple companies have actually measured stuff and droop and make the right springs and shocks. I don't like using shocks as limit straps and would like to see a company throw a set of those in their highend kits but it is better than it used to be.

I would start with a 2" body lift. That will give more room for bigger tires and lift less weight which will significantly reduce raising center of gravity.

It’s currently stock, I’ve had 80’s with lifts from 2.5 to 6”. 35-37”s. I’m wanting to try something different on this one, I’m looking to full load this rig, bumpers, sliders, roof rack, and run 37/38/40” tires with minimal up travel and height but plenty of droop.
Droop with low cog you say?? 3” lift on 37s
