What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (62 Viewers)

After waiting forever for me to get the time, my daughter and I finally got some much needed maintenance done on her 80. Tie rods, 4 rotors, pads, right front axle seal.

Great looking truck! What color is that?

PPG LR Green. Hate to say it but I'm pretty sure the "LR" stand for Land Rover!

It's just a single stage color from their Fleetline paint system. One weekend paint job. One really LONG weekend!

Got the rig into some snow.

Used some rear 80 series brake sockets (1157) to fix my janky amazon 1157 socket wiring to make the corner lights act as running lights and blinkers since my 4x4labs bumper blocks the stock blinker lights.

Running light only...

Running light and flasher...

I see you're making use of the Wit's End useless cubby insert. Would you mind telling me how you keep your iPad mount from sagging down/unthreading from the mount?

The arm piece is a RAM # RAM-B-201-201U, the iPad mini holder is # RAM-HOL-AP20U and the ball thingy is a Ram Mount 1” tough-ball with 1/4-20 x 0.25 inches male threaded post, black. The ball and threaded piece is obviously what threads into the Wits End cubby insert. I added a bit of blue loctite for the thread. All from Amazon, see pictures below....

After owning this 80 for three years, I guess I finally had enough of the poor repair job that had been done at some point. The front half of the cruiser is a different color and the clear was peeling A LOT. Also a good time to address a small amount of rust that has recently showed up on the passenger front door bottom.
So I started disassembling and sanding. I’ll post pictures when complete

Added some bling on the H/L shifter knob and hit the high desert with the usual suspects - - @perrobravo and @Dan2722 . Feels great, looks great, and works great. Unfortunately they arent making any more of these for the 80.

Not too many pics taken this weekend. But the break was a much needed one. Loving this 80 with each day that elapses. Still a work in progress.

I finally got around to installing my Delta VS pan hard bracket. Best bang for the buck modification in my mind.

Then I also painted my Trail Gear bumper. I was tired of the patina look and yes I am completely aware of the runs in the paint. I am completely okay with the runs.
