I was talking more about the employee's, not the owner... But either way, I was completely joking.

I got to say this sucks all the way around, Josey. I am so sorry all this is happening! Maybe it's time to talk to one of these guys: Coastal Cruisers Member Businesses
Don't worry, we are the ones who know how funny it was. I have been to Josey's dealer a few times for parts, when Jimmy Pattison the socialist was out of stock. Just google Jim Pattison. He owns everything.

@jgranthevagrant here's your old mud avatar if you want to change it from being a giant ugly purple J. 🤣

We socialists happen to like the giant purple Js!

Dealer seems to be more willing to see things my way today. But the glass guy is wanting a “3rd party” forensics report on the age of the chips, as his staff “couldn’t possibly have done it”. I’m going to meet svc mgr and we will go together to a non affiliated body shop to carbon date the exposed primer/steel. Should be entertaining...

It seems the 100 series windshield takes more effort than your average vehicle and is beyond the capability of just about any of your average installers. I too had a similar experience where I could see corrosion starting and decided to have my windshield removed/reinstalled to address the corrosion before it got worse. The first windshield place not only messed up my outer trim pieces(requires rivets to be drilled out carefully and replaced) but also cut the leather/vinyl inside trim pieces because they didn't take the time to remove them. To top it off, the windshield they put in was the typical "green/blue" glass instead of "bronze" that it had. I was hoping they could save my existing windshield but I knew the risks and wanted to fix the corrosion. Well, I ended up taking my cruiser to another shop to get the correct bronze windshield installed and found out they didn't even fix the corrosion which was the reason I got it done in the first place and was charged extra for. This time I asked them to show me the repair before installing the windshield.
I then went back to the shop with the old windshield and pictures of the non repair and proceeded to raise hell. I was given a full refund plus the cost of the inner and outer trim pieces which I ordered and installed myself on the second windshield because I have lost all faith in quality service. Well fast forward a few months later during a rainstorm and what do you know, I have a small water leak at the top of the windshield. I wasn't going to go through all that again so I removed the top trim piece and found the leak and used a syringe to inject black silicone into it. Has been fine and well tested with all the recent rains.
I just wanted you to know you're not alone in the 100 series windshield nightmare.

It was a busy day here. I spent the past few days visiting my dad and step dad, who live in neighboring towns about 5 hours away. Both are 88 and having health issues, so a visit was needed. I returned home to 12” of snow in a place that almost never sees ANY. My tractor was still set up for summer with the mower on, and the blade buried behind trailers etc. Millermatic and 4Runner to the rescue!

I whipped up a quick plow. Hillbilly engineering at its finest!

Followed by a bit of playing. Alas the roads had mostly been cleared, so limited options for fun...

Having lottery dreams this morning. Luckily I have a very good friend living about 25 mins away from where this is for sale. Once I verify that I’ve in fact won, I think I’ll have him put this on a boat for me:steer: It comes with a 3” lift packed on a pallet as well...

This one is $40,000 but as a 2007 model I’d have to wait 3 years to bring it in. But V8 diesel would be nice!
