Nice work Chad - those sliders are looking awesome!

I may be selling the JVC I bought a couple months ago out of my Cherokee if you're interested. I got a nice Kenwood from my old Bronco back for free so I'll probably be installing that one into the XJ.

I will say though I'm not a fan of JVC (feels a little cheap) and it tends to set the volume to zero randomly but let me know if you might want it.

Thanks @yotadude520 but I will probably just buy something new... eventually. I don't listen to the radio when I'm wheeling, but I would like to get something in there for the long drive to my hunting spot.

I bought it brand new for like $75 in August but would rather have my old Kenwood. I've never been a fan of JVC anyway lol.

If you need something in the short term just throw in a Bluetooth speaker and bump that!

I hear ya there. I've never had good luck with JVC or Clarion. I will probably end up with another Kenwood with the hope that the plug will be the same. LOL!

They should be the same plug for the most part. I know that the Alpine plug for my new unit was exactly the same as the one from Ken's unit from like 2005. I did have an old Kenwood that I replaced with a newer one and the plugs were the same, so there's hope!

We had an awesome trip up to Tillamook State Forest (Browns Camp OHV) this last weekend. We didn't get rained on too much, but there was no snow. Saturday was our main day of wheeling and our group consisted of my truck, an FJ40, a YJ, and a FZJ80. What a great group of guys! I am really happy with how well my truck did and I'm excited to keep getting both it and me dialed in.

Here are some pics that I took, but the full album (including videos) can be found on Facebook. 2019 Guys "snow" trip

Whoah!! That is a gnarly trail!! Sick videos though seemed like the truck did really well.

I think it's time you change your avatar...

HAHAHAHAHA! Well played... starts shaking blue spray paint

Looking good dude. Trav kept his pinion in one piece?

The pinion? Yes... The front spring and belts? Not so much... I was nice and didn't snap a pic of him being rope towed back to camp.

All of these pics were taken on different sections of a trail called Archers Firebreak. To be honest, there are a lot harder trails up here! I am truly blessed to have some of the best public wheeling literally in my back yard.

I'm glad you like the pics and videos! If you ever want to take a road trip and do some Oregon wheeling, just let me know... Or come to Cruisin the Woods this year.

That's crazy! We have some trails like that out where I live but nothing that is as intense and bouldery as that. There's quite a few obstacles on your trail!

Absolutely man! I do have a good family friend who lives in Southern Washington that I've been meaning to visit, may just have to swing by you to get some wheeling in!!

That sounds like a good trip! Our club runs a poker run the last weekend in Sept, which is a blast, but I would always be willing to show you around.

Yeah it would be a fun one! I was thinking when I go I will go to CA first and up through Oregon anyway so you're definitely on the way there! It would be nice to test the truck out in the rocks up there for sure!

Maybe I’ll come down from northern Wa/BC and we can get a red 2nd Gen trucks / 1st Gen T4R only run going? Might need to be something with by-passes for the total gnar though as my open digs and 32s probably won’t get me through those rocks. Even with my stellar skills...🤣

That would be awesome!

I’ll have to set my wife up with a wine tour or shopping in Portlandia though. Unless there’s a trail that “goes somewhere” or is ultra scenic, she’s not interested in “bouncing around” all day;)

We usually pass through Portland area 3-4 times per year, with one or 2 of those being Sept/Oct. We spend a bunch of time in Oregon, usually the Willamette or Florence or Brookings or...

That would actually be really cool! Who else has got a red 1st gen pickup or 4Runner?!

There are some amazing wineries out here. I'm sure that we could set something up.

Let me know the next time you are down. Maybe we can grab a beer or something.

I am really digging this idea. LOL!
