That's the second one we just chatted about! I have the tool to swage the hose to a new fitting. Get that motor lined up. We can stuff ac in there.

We had about 8 inches of really wet snow here in Kansas City over the weekend, I Decided to drive down the barn so I didn’t have to walk through the snow, not a good idea...

Had a winch three times, but finally got out.
Had not seen a snow like this for a long time....this is a half inch cable line going to the building with about 2 inches of snow around it.

So the reason I went down to the barn, was to get an extra center transmission mount that’s a little more rust than the one that came on this beautiful rust free NM car.

Little cut—grinding —welding the new plate to move the engine back about 2 1/4 inches.

Pulled the AC line off, did some bending on the power steering lines, and got down to exactly the same as the stock 80 angle!!

And now the oil filter is easily accessible....

Then work on the motor mounts. Never did this before, so my goal was to get the mount at the same angle as the frame of the car and parallel to the frame. Used my digital angle finder and was able to nail it in pretty close

Then I clamped them down to a copper bar to help heat dissipation, as I’m burning those in pretty hot . I smart person would probably tack these in, but I’m not that smart!! Too excited to see this together. Anyway, the frame side of the mount will be adjustable, until it gets burned in.

back to the a/c adapters. I emailed the ebay vendor (great vendor airpartsinc), and got this response.

Your compressor has oring ports so these blocks will not fit. It looks like it takes the same fittings as the Chrysler applications:

Thank you,

unfortunately, back to threaded ends. Sounds like it is time for a junkyard run, unless toyota dealers would have lines hanging around...

YOu pulled the fittings off your compressor. See if a hotrod shop local can verify what you have vs what an LS would use.

called Toyota to see if they had a stack of hoses I could look at... Kyler had the idea to run the first 5 numbers of the tundra part number to get more hose options. Found about a dozen, so I went and found images, and here are the ones that appear to have right angles at the compressor. Don't know diameters, but this gives me a target of what to look for now.

NSFW. Sorry for the Heep pic...... but this graphic may find a way onto this rig.

See if you can find an old school hose shop that will modify your fittings. They can bend new tube & braze it to the block.

They can be hard to find!

Good idea, but.... I did the dryer relocate on my 80 series rigs (plural) and have a great welder that tried 4 hoses and only one worked. My point is that this is a non-option. Just too hard to weld thin aluminum like this.

Motor mounts are tacked in place.

Then I pulled out the springs and put Vera in full drop. Oil pan clearance looks good

You gonna run 80 firewall graft or need me to find you 40 firewall and pedal buckets?

Not planning on doing the 80 series graft. I think I have the pieces I need, except for steering column, not sure how I’m gonna do that .

Well then I wont get rid of any till your setup. Pretty sure I have a 60 and a 40 column around here. And spare slip shafts to go from column to box.

Fwiw r134a systems are relatively low pressure. Even with high ambient temps you won't see much over 225psi on the discharge side. Get the fittings to match up and you can run anything for tube, even soft copper will work fine.

Went to plug the first part of the wiring harness in, the first connection, and it’s different. This is going to suck!!!! Alternator plug.
