Factory dash AC on with the cab open to the cabin with only the dash pass through center console vents on, no rear AC evaporator (this may change in the near future).

After ~1+ hour of travel the rear seating had a temperature of 71.8°
How cool is that! There are no other camper, motorhome, or van I know of that has the ability to cool the cabin with such coolness.

So the concern of traveling with pets or passengers in 100°+ temperatures in no problem with MALTEC. The more time I spend in these trucks I find them in a class of their own and the easier it is the justify the cost.

What was the cost of all this cooling greatness?

If you provide the 200 series turnkey builds start at $75k

Contact Maltec-USA for more pricing details

Having the opportunity to see the trucks in person, I can attest that the quality of craftmanship is superior let alone a way cool looking setup.

Phil,

Question about that spare. I'm thinking a percentage of customers are retired and spending some money, so how does a 65 year old get that spare down without going to the hospital, otherwise they're a great looking vehicle.

Fair question reposting the answer previously ask - Thats it▲ but rim is magnesium.:) With that said I dont worry having logged 10,000s 4wd miles including 1000's of miles racing SCORE Baja and changed one tire in the last 20 years. Learn to pick lines and buy good tires and leave the tire changing to others.;)

In addition Im retired and pushing the tire off the roof would require little effort:eek:

Thanks Phil,

I thought maybe they had a fancy way of lowering. My luck pushing the tire off it would bounce back and cave in the door. :)

Sounds like AAA for you :D

Like the crane that pops up out of the roof of the camper, swings over the tire, picks it up, swings out over the side, and lowers it to the ground? :pompous:

Something more than pushing it off the roof and chasing after it. Bigger problem would be getting the flat back up on the roof. Years ago I put a rusted pliers handle into the side wall of my brand new 38" monster mudders, I wish I knew about the option of declaring "no flats" would of saved my weekend. :)

Phil is spot on; I have not seen anything better than these very well designed trucks that are not only good looking and comfortable but also that they are the perfect size to be able to put inside of a container and send anywhere in the world so your truck would be safe when traveling overseas. To me that's a very Cool factor.

A review with lots of pictures is coming as I have just been asked by the owners for my impressions to help with design of the Maltec trucks for 2019 EXPO. Its going to be game changing.

I will say without question if you have a 200 series you want this and the waiting list is growing.

Contact Maltec USA to start your build or build questions.

Not really my thing, though, these are interesting. That said, for half what one of these conversions cost, I'll take an Airstream BaseCamp or Sport and have plenty of $$$ left over.
