First off sorry for the late post as I understand some will be hard pressed to get a Monday off. It time to let the man know you life is important. I printed some extra hall passes if anyone want to go and needs one
August ROTM 18-20
Grand Canyon & White Pocket
The plan
Leaving the Flagstaff area 9AM on Saturday
I will pick a camp spot near(TBA) Google Maps I will be going up on Friday. So people can come up any time from Friday to Saturday morning but we will be leaving at 9:00AM on Saturday from the Flagstaff area. You will need to be 100% ready to go full of gas ect.
Saturday drive up to my secret spot on the lower ridge North Rim of the Grand Canyon 270°. Several things to do and see on the way. Sunday morning depart and head up a very cool set of switchbacks to the main entrance of North Rim Park. We will not be entering the park. We will head to Jacobs Lake stopping to visit one of the few 100' fire towers in Arizona and down to House Rock road. We will travel up House Rock to a place called White Pocket for a day of exploring. There is a ton of stuff in the area and depending on the size of the group and the speed we travel will determine any side trip. Monday will be a travel day home with again possible some quick spot at other points of interest time permitting.
First night camp
6000' elevation
Be aware if you have kids or dogs you have no fences or railing to keep you from driving or falling off. One bad step will be your LAST. You have been warned.
Second night White Pocket
5800' elevation
