Help me identify this 1st Gen 4Runner Lift & Tire Combo (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm starting another '87 SR5 Turbo project and want it to have a stance similar to the one in the attached picture.

The description says:
"All four wheels were freshly re-powder coated and wrapped in New BF Goodrich AT KO2 tires. A 3" Old Man Emy lift has been installed with all fresh parts and shocks. This work was done RIGHT!. Ivan Stewart would be proud!"

Questions:
1) What OME Lift does it have (3")? I know OME doesn't offer a kit - what parts would I need to replicate this?
2) What size Tires do you think it has? The pics aren't quite high res enough for me to see the tire size.
3) Do you think it has wheel spacers? If so, maybe 1.25"?

i'm no expert but i'd say those are 31x10.50 tires, no spacer. just based on my pickup, it's not much of a lift - maybe 2"?

All I can say is there is definitely no wheel spacers on the truck in the pics. You can tell by how far the hub is sticking out of the wheel.

I was thinking 32-33’s? Agree it’s probably a 2” lift.

Where can you get the “OME Kit” for our trucks? I can only seem to find various parts, not a kit online.

I personally think 31s would look small with a 2.5” kit. Surely 32x11.50s at a minimum right?

Don't know why the link u had didn't get put in. Sorry about that. The biggest concern with the 11.50's would be clearance when installed and if the tire shop will put then on a 7" rim.

Those are stock 2nd gen. 4Runner wheels, 15x7. To me that 4Runner looks like it's stock height, more or less, with maybe some new springs in the rear because they tend to get saggy. That's what I would do, personally, and run 31" tires unless you're going for a mostly off road truck.

Those are 1st gen SR5 wheels that were recoated. Mine are exactly like them but in good shape as is (no recoating required).

I had 31s on my prior 1st gen and they felt small. I’d go min of 32x11.50 if they will clear.

That’s why I was wondering if they ran some type is spacer. My 31x10.50s didn’t stick out like the ones in the pic do and hey were on the same 15” stock SR5 wheels... but the hub placement makes me think it’s just a 11.5” wise tire?

Wonder if they rubbed? My 31s did slightly at full turn...

Also, still not sure about clearance but I was able to find a lot of people running 32x11.50s on 15x7s without issue:

Ah, I forgot that some 1st generations also got that wheel, along with 2nd gens. I had an '85 with stock suspension for 10 years, with one set of 30" BFGs the entire time. Actually, the guy I sold the truck to ran them for another 10 years-quite bald by then! Anyway, they looked better than stock size tires but performance probably suffered a bit.

Sorry guys - didn't mean to make anyone upset. I'll be honest, the pricing and parts list on both of the vendors sites is really confusing. They are both OME 2.5" Medium Load kits, but come with different parts, quantities, and pricing. Certainly not displayed in a way that instills confidence that you are getting a good deal or in a way that is easy to order.

For peace of mind, I found the OME site to be very helpful and was able to piece together a kit that I know OME suggests with part numbers and pricing clearly displayed on Amazon.

It was a bit time consuming to piece it all together, so I wish the vendor sites had been clearer as a single click of a button would have been much easier. But cheaper pricing, no tax, free shipping, easy returns in the event that I ordered too many bushings or something, and clear pricing and part numbers is tough to say no to.

OK, all abuse aside. One call to Kurt would have saved you the time piecing it all together, and would have made sure you received the correct parts, and all the parts, the first time. Ya, you would have paid more (shipping), but then, you would have been supporting a MUD vendor, and a loyal cruizerhead, who has done great things for the Land Cruiser community. Plus, Kurt just knows his $hit.

And I get the whole money thing. I'm currently working on an engine transplant project. If I have a choice of purchasing a dealer part, or the same Denso or Aisin part aftermarket, I'm likely going to save a few bucks and go aftermarket.

Either way. Get your lift installed and post up some pics. We always like porn here.
