Found a wicked welding table on the way back to the Elf Barn. A garbage truck outfit was picking up bulk waste and picked it up. The guys wanted to make some side money and had it put up on CL. Drove over there and had them throw it on the trailer with the lift.

Placed the lift posts upright in prep for bolt in. Measured ten times. Drilled once. Moved compressor to its final location and moved workbench from opposite side of the barn to lift side. Used 4 car dollies which made quick work of the one piece work bench relocation.. Electrician is coming in to redo Hickville wiring and get compressor and lift wired in.

Next cut mono rail to get lift clearance done.

Yes it does I not affect the structure. Thought through it x100 before doing the deed.

Admiring your new shop! Coming along great. It's good to get your sons involved, looks like they're having a lot of fun.

I think my '86 FJ60 project is my last big project, there are a lot of small repairs/upgrades on my other three Land Cruisers in the works that can be done in my garage, so will make do with what I have.

I have been watching your 60 build. It’s really nice. Looks like a ton of hard work. Glad it’s so close to being done. Did you paint it yourself?

@4Cruisers, let me know ever when you are coming to Dallas area or need to get some wrenching on your way through. The Elf Barn has a standing invite. Just as it does for @CenTXFJ60.

Bought an oxy acetylene torch.

Put in a 3/4 inch Max Air system. Elves building the air hose station brackets. Air system is great. Recommend it. Easy install. Fired right up. No leaks. No rust to worry about. Safer than schedule 80 PVC

Final product. Have three of these along 60’ length. Have 50’ hose that gets me air wherever I need.

Scored a Old Snap-On tool box that has been thru life. $45. Works. Does not quite have the patina @wngrog has on his rigs but reminds me of his “patina brand”. Something that inspires me.

The Elves bolting in the lift and torquing it down. It was cold 32F. We fired up the pot belly stove. It is dark because electrician is at work redoing power distribution, lights, welding sockets, lift, and compressor. Lift all connected up waiting for power.
