We are down in Baja again supporting Canguro Racing for the 50th running of the SCORE BAJA 1000.

Spent our first night camped near the Zzyzx exit outside Baker CA....awoke to a beautiful sunrise.

Border crossing into Mexico was a breeze....barely slowed down...

The fog on the way down the coast...

Instant highlight to day 1, Ivan "Ironman" Stewart autographed Monica. What a gentleman, he was incredibly gracious to the Canguro team and to the fans.

Team dinner....8 chase crews this year, including two groups of media....Canguro should get some nice coverage!

Two days of contingency this year...Canguro went yesterday, as did others, but today's line was long...

Ran into Jessi Combs...she is attempting to Iron[wo]man the race...4 co-drivers to guide her...will be a huge challenge, i hope she pulls it off!

Nice! Might have to do it next year?

Awesome news! I missed it this year due to work :crybaby::bang:. Glad to hear the news.

You said it... I think its really the food I might miss the most.

Do you know of or heard about the vintage class FJ40 that finished? Only one in the class that made it. V911

Nice to see Ryan was so thoroughly engaged in my race plan.

The V911 car crossed the finish line...they exited the race about RM60, put it on the trailer, drove to LaPaz to experience the finish line, then decided "why not, let's just jump into the last mile-two and cross the line, just for fun"

My guess is their antics will change the finish forever. Uncool in my opinion...

When's the Canguro race film coming out?
It's been discussed ;) Fred Krijgsman (Xtreme Adventure Reports) was with the Bacal team when I raced one year, and did a lot of footage....and we did have a film crew on this trip with Canguro....

wait for it, coming soon to a theater near you ;)

GPS trackers solve those problems pretty quickly, they should stick to NORRA and just enjoy the drive instead of being chumps.
Reminds me of Acer and his PR starts then pulling out 20 miles into the race and bolting town.

You serious? I thought I was looking at the official (Post penalty) results. The GPS/Tracker would have DQ'd them. WTH. I'll check the official results again.

Update* - Yep, they DNF'd them. Not a cool move at all.
