I wasn't really sure which subtopic if any this question fit...

There's a person in the neighborhood which appears to be en-graced by smashing the rear glass from vehicles, and my 77 was not spared on their latest (but not only) glass smashing binge.

Anyway, my shop that's taking care of this for insurance purposes has said to have found the glass.
Except they're not sure which of the two to order- the descriptions are in japanese, but they're confused because one description reads:

One Reads TEM the other has a code EHTT this EHTT version states RWD.

Both panes appear to be 3.5 mm thick, blue tint as descriptions.

I've tried searching for this extensively, and have not gotten anywhere, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction as to what these codes mean, or if more info is needed for assistance. Thank you

Which rear window are we talking about? Are they the rear side windows or the rear door windows? Its easier to work with part numbers.
Parts ID works best if you state the year as well but being a PZJ7* it will be early 90s

Left hand or right hand?
Are these the fixed windows or sliding?
RH fixed with blue tint 62710-60100 LH fixed with blue tint 62720-60060. There are also tempered versions which triple the price. I got those numbers off an LJ77 but I cant see it being any different to a PZJ77. They appear to be the same as the current model VDJ76 so availability shouldn't be an issue but the blue tint may not be available.

EHTT stands for "Electrical, Heated, Tinted, Tempered" glass...in case you were wondering.

For referrence I was talking about the Large Barn Door Window. It would be Right hand side if you're looking at the vehicle from behind, Driver side for a JDM.

I was told by a local land cruiser specialist that this glass is different on the 90-97 (around) series to the previous series'. In other words a BJ 73/74 glass would not fit this door. My understanding is also that the LJ glass would fit my application.

Thank you very much for your response and assistance.

I don't know why the glass from a 84-90 wouldn't fit. I thought the only differences was when you have the troopy door which is 4 inches taller. I think yours would be the 3rd from the top on the list 68131-90K07

68131-90K00TEMPERED GLASS, T=3.5
68131-90K06TINTED TEMPERED GLASS, T=3.5, BLUE
68131-90K07 ELECTRICAL HEATED TINTED TEMPERED GLASS, T=3.5

Hello,

Does your truck have a rear defogger? If so, an "electrical heated" glass will suit you. Otherwise, a tempered glass window will do.

Standard grade Toyota glass has no color. What Toyota calls Tinted Glass has a bluish/greenish hue.

The part numbers listed by Rosco / @roscoFJ73 are good for model years 1984 through 2006. Newer model years should also fit, because little has changed in that part of the 70 Series.

I owe you beer and ROSCOFJ73 a beer, thanks guys!

Hello Juan, thank you for your input. You're correct, from Rosco's list the part I need is the TEMP only, as my windows are non heated, non fogged, non tinted etc. 68131-90K00TEMPERED GLASS, T=3.5

this thread and your, rosco and Texas as been instrumental to solve an issue that a few local shops could not figure out; hopefully I will have glass before our first snowfall!

I still am unsure why the LC specialty shop had said the older model glass would not fit, but I won't get into that as I don't have enough experience fitting glass or time.

The part number you need: 68131-60320

Your local Toyota dealer can get it for you.

^this guy, savior; can we replicate you?

Turns out the shop I'm dealing with tried to order but the part was out of stock through his channel so I directed the shop to do what you suggest.

Thank you onur; I hope this works.

what is the difference between this part number and this one? 68131-90K00 are they different market numbers?

-90K00 supersedes to the one I gave you.

Trust me. It's the correct part.

I'm not asking because I don't trust you, I trust you, but I'm asking for my own information purposes.

We often find part numbers change but you cant see the difference between them. There are 6 part number for brake master cyls over the years but all of them work fine and look the same.
Glad we have been able to help so far.

Hello,

I am glad to help.

From my experience, competent local Toyota part guys will help if you can supply at least one part number and a description. The latter will enable them to place an order. If a part is discontinued or not available in your neck of the woods, a second/third/fourth part number (and description) will come in handy.

If your local parts guy cannot do the above, ask Onur / @beno .

Juan thanks for the advice, I'm back to square one on this.

- There's one toyota parts guy here who's dedicated with Land Cruiser stuff- I didn't go to the dealer because I didn't think they'd have access to 70s stuff. There's a specialty shop in the area, they said they'd look for the glass but haven't heard much form them in over a month so I decided to look elsewhere.

I try not to email Beno unless I'm likely buying from him, I know he's a busy and sought after, and I understand the time constraints.

I'm still hustling to find the glass; I know this is not the place to vent, but the person that damaged my glass also did it to my 80, a friend's volvo, two other people in my parking lot and 7 other people on the other street. it's fxxxing criminal.

You have the part number. Walk into a Toyota dealership and buy it.

Done deal.

Not what the only competent toyota guy at the dealership I spoke to said today. Out of stock in Canada and the U.S. Unsure if they can get from Japan. Maybe it works differently in the U.S.

Order it. Doesn’t matter if it’s in stock or not.

Just spoke to them- He said that we are unable to order it because he cannot put an order in on the system for a part # at zero (?).
However, he took some information down to make a request/requisition with Toyota Canada, once they get back to him, he will know if Toyota Canada can get it for them.
