1997 LX450 ~ Engine Rebuild Guidance (1 Viewer)

Friends,

I recently acquired a 1997 LX450 with a bad engine & I'm seeking guidance in terms of the direction I should go to get my rig road worthy again. It currently has just shy of 250K miles. Is there is a proper shop local to Dallas/Fort Worth that can rebuild my motor OR should I purchase a rebuilt motor from an unknown source on eBay with a very limited warranty on the part & no warranty on the labor?

Or if someone in town has a motor laying around that they can guarantee to be in tip-top condition, I'll gladly go that route.

Its got a bottom end rod knock.
