OK! I finished the dual batteries, installed an SPOD with bluetooth controls on my ipad (very cool), deleted all physical switches from inside, installed a factor 55 on the winch, and installed my new headlights I had made! Just have to install my storage, fridge slide, fridge, and some tools and spares and I am moab ready!

That thing looks awesome! How and where did you have headlights made? How are they different that standard besides the smoke?

They are blacked out inside as well as smoked glass. Makes my LED headlights less scattery (8000 lumens per bulb low and high). I bought them on ebay stock and had Ryan Grau make them. Not sure he is doing more, but it is $200 for the process plus material and shipping.

Decided to black out the grille as well. I think it makes it look even better!

Nice. More info/pix on LED running board lighting? are they the LED bard on frame rail as rock lights from the running board lighting harness?

Also, Like the sun roof rattle fix. More info plz. ;)

The LEDs are OPT7 from Amazon.com: OPT7 Nova Plasma DRL Light Bars - (550 Lumens) 17cm COB Daytime Running Light White: Automotive
literally just snip off the middle wire underneath, splice them on (+ and -) and tape them up (I fed mine into the frame and zipped tied) then clean the frame and stick em on. They will turn on when you open the door. There is a hack to add a switch to turn them on for rock lights but I didnt do that.

Thanks!

New wheels and tires- I went with 255 75 17 Discoverers (influenced by Jlee) on FJ 8 hole wheels. I had previously added the Toytec with 5100's lift and did the rear bag trick until I can get LT for the rear. I also cut the running boards off and put in a set of OPOR sliders that I got from RobertD (thanks!).

Best wheels for a GX

Those do look really good. Is the offset/back spacing different from our stock GX rims? I'm currently looking at rims with a slightly (not overly) wider stance.

The FJ wheels are a 15mm offset compared to 25mm for the Lexus ones- so a tad better (4/10ths of an inch) offset but not crazy.

I was debating between these FJ wheels and the new 4R trail wheels when this set of 5 popped up locally and I got them plus some barely used Chinese tires for an unbeatable price. Now it's time to put up the stock chromies with the China tires up for sale and hope they sell for what I reassured my wife they would- HA!

You drill and bolt through the body with some load plates. I just finished!

Looks great...that's the look I'm shooting for with mine...same size tires too. Have you had them out on the trail yet?

I took my girls out to a short, local trail on Saturday (dirt hills- not technical at all). The AT3's did great but I'm sure I would have been fine with anything. I will be doing a longer trail in the mountains in a couple more weekends and will try some more technical stuff to see how she does.

I also put about 300 miles of highway and city driving on it and the tires have excellent road manners- no noise and handling feels good. I still haven't gotten a good feel for what pressure to run, though. The tire shop inflated them to 40 and the ride felt harsh so I aired down to 35 and it feels a bit squishy now. I think 37 ought to do it.

What pressure do others with 255's run?
