1996 FZJ80 stolen from Walnut Creek CA on March 1st 2017

. Grey, 3" OME lift. California Black Legacy Plates "34 PAPI" (RED SOX FAN Obviously) Tan leather interior. All my fishing gear, camping gear, 2 ton hydraulic jack. "Drink Tahoe Brew" sticker on back window.

Well - Great news, CHP found it abandoned in SF. No damage, plates still on it, not stripped. All my gear in the back is gone though. But - At least i'll have her back tomorrow.

Congrats! I'm very happy for you. It's time to install an ignition kill switch to prevent future theft.

U can go to any alarm/stereo shop and ask them to install one for you. If they are good they can use any of the switches inside your vehicle as the ignition kill switch. That way the thief will not be able to trace the ignition switch wiring. G'luck!

Thanks Mater -I'll have a look. I just drove it home from South San Francisco to the East Bay. It was abandoned in the Mission District in SF, so you can imagine what the inside looked like and smelled like. Somehow these a-holes managed to break both driver and passenger seat electric motors and grind my brake pads/rotors all the way down in about 4 days. Let just say it was a very gentle drive home

Look into getting a GPS tracker. Cabelas sells them.
