Can anyone tell me about this 45? I'm possibly looking to buy. Owner says its a 63, SWB, FHT.

For sure the twin sticks and 4-on the floor are wrong, how hard to convert to column shift 3 speed?

Even worth restoring?

If it is worth restoring, how much is it worth in current condition?

Absolutely worth restoring unless you mean can you restore it and sell it for more money than you spent. That truck is in far, far better shape than mine was. maybe even better than mine is now.

FHTs are smaller inside and, of course, the top doesn't come off. This makes them much less desirable than RHTs. It also made them not too desirable at the time they were sold so they are very rare and some parts are pretty hard to come by. It looks like you have most, if not all of those parts and that's huge.

column shift is easy and cheap to retrofit because nobody wants to do it. Everybody wants to go the other way. Lots more parts than people looking for them.

Twin stick to dash shift is the same thing. Patching the floor will be easier than finding an uncut floor panel.

Wing window rubber and rear window rubber is impossible to find. The other weatherstrip is expensive, but available.

Dash will need a lot of patching. The bezel is easy to find unless you feel the need to go with the embossed one. The turn signal lens is unavailable in clear, which is correct. Toyota has brand new amber ones in stock pretty cheap. Mirror heads are available as are the correct rims. The newer hubcaps are available new, the T style not so much.

$4-5K, maybe? Maybe a bit more since it really does look like there's a lot of nice parts and the tub looks good from the pics.

Depends on if the body is original steel and the frame is good, of course.

Very nice truck. Do you have the VIN for the list?

11.5k is a lot if everything was fixed and correct. Not for a rusty bed, no tailgate, chopped dash and needing paint.

Pretty cheeky to be asking that with a bungee holding the exhaust up.

Are those supposed to be some kind of stake bed sides?

Lol, I thought the bungee was a NOS part, making it worth the extra 6k above any other rusty, molested 45.

Also, beware, seller is claiming to have some "australians" coming to look at it, and he informed me, that aussie's know what it is. Lol. So on that note, he is a classic car salesman of some sort. I offered him 5k and he scoffed, and I said thank you but I will pass and find one from the rust belt with less rust. Lol The holes in the floor and the rear sill being as rusty as it is, makes me think it was in a salt belt for a part of its life. But being from illinois originally (chicago area) what do I know about rust....:roll eyes:
Original SW trucks that old can have rust, but never have I seen rot like that unless it played in salt, more than once. My .02 cents. :meh:

Here's the craigslist.

This truck has been for sell in the valley before. Maybe a few years ago. Remember it being on a ranch in Scottsdale. That is a diesel under the hood. Not many of these in AZ with a diesel, SWB and red floating around.
