So I was investigating my turbo today and I shifted a ratchet extension onto the battery terminals and a spark show and some smoke came out from my Series/Parallel Solenoid. Checked it out and fried the s*** out of my ground wire. I tried hooking up a new ground to it and it instantly melted the ground off (i used some thin wire to test it).
I am assuming now that the solenoid is pooched and is stuck on.

When i try to start the car, I get all my normal lights and all but theres a small buzzer noise coming from under the dash and nothing happens. No cranking nothing.

I have also checked every fuse in my truck and there all fine.

Do i have to worry about my starter now? or just the bloody solonoid

Check the fusable links, i believe there on the right side batt hanging off the pos+ lead. Not to sure if there's an exclusive one there for the start circut so it may be to no avail but worth a check. Pray tonight its not the switch over relay .... new ones have recently gone for 5-600 bux:bang: altho you can build your own with off the shelf parts. It just wont be any where near as compact and be much more complicated looking.
Good luck

i have two lines on some for about $100 bucks each and they will be tested if I go that route.
I have checked the fuse box under the hood. I don't know where these "fuse-able links" are that your talking about.

I have the FSM on my computer, Im having a hard time pulling the pages off it to post .... stand by ill see what i can do .

I hope this works, note that FL stands for fuseable link. There is one inline with the starter relay. I believe the rest are the black boxes hanging off the driver side pos+ terminal

A personal thank you. I couldn't find that in my manual.
I should download the toyota one too.
its stuck on so I need to replace it.

Stuck on? You mean the circuit is closed? To me this means that if voltage was applied to the voltage converter relay, the engine should crank. Sure you checked all the fusible links? Did you use your VOM? Bummer if it is stuffed...

Turbo is on right side, start relay is on left side... You're as talented as me!

I absolutly fried the ground wire coming off the solonoid. And yes the circuit is stuck closed. From what we can see the fusable links are fine. This was the only thing that smoked and sparked.

There is continuity in step C and no continuity in step d making it stuck closed. I am pretty thankful i have a few leads on some for not an arm and a leg.

My dads mechanic friend said they used to test batteries by wearing a thick leather glove and connecting the two battery poles using an extension. He thought it was weird. But it is for sure hooped. It just smells burnt.

Sorry to hear. I've 'tested' batteries that way in the past as well... (lol)

I got mine from John at Radd Cruisers.
Sheldon or Greg has a few at G&S Cruisers as well.
Pretty easy to install
