Greetings!
Wanted to quickly introduce the Colorado Trail Patrol. We are a volunteer program assisting the Forest Service and BLM better maintain and monitor our OHV trails. They are asking for more info, so they can do a better job.

Like any volunteer program, we need volunteers. BUT this is different than any other program. All we ask is that our volunteer log information about trails after you get home. You are already going to be going out and exploring, we would like to know about what you saw.

CTP manages an online database where the information you log is passed directly to the Trail Coordinators and Rec Managers within the agencies. No more trying to track down a phone number or email address and wondering if anyone cares about that guy doing doughnuts in a meadow. CTP ensures that any reports gets to the correct authority.

This is an easy and QUICK way for you to help protect trails for continued use.

We are holding a training session on 1/25 at Fire Station #8 (3737 Airport Rd), 6:30pm. It will be less than an hour long.

If you have questions, email us at CTP@StaytheTrail.org.
And Yes, we will be holding training again in the Springs area every few months.

Want to thank the members who were able to attend on such a short notice.
We have scheduled another time in the Springs, so go get your calendars.

We will be back on March 29th at 6:30pm. Training will be in the same place, Fire Station #8 (3737 Airport Rd).
Hope to meet some of you then!

With that much notice I probably can attend. I'm interested in joining with others that use our trails and want to see that our access is preserved. This sound like another way that we can be involved and help the Forest Service. Thanks for the opporunity.

Great! We believe that better maintained trails will be trails that are open for future use and protecting resources can be accomplished through simple observation and reporting. The agencies are asking for help, and we are already going to be out there. Our system is a simple way of passing on the information in a way that you know is getting to the correct folks within the agencies.

Is this meeting still planned for the 29th? I'm interested in attending but there hasn't been any activity in this thread recently.
