I was on the trail at 5:30 for a beautiful fall hike the day after fresh snow. Temps were in the high 30's with little wind.

Great pics Scott! I need to get out and make this hike.

The trail head to Ice House Canyon Saddle is a really scenic and forgiving 3.5 mi hike and you would love it. From the saddle to Cucamonga Peak is a a little steeper and is another 3.75 miles but the amazing views are well worth the hike. The snow got to be about a 1' deep on the NW faces and it was a good cardio workout the last mile. If no new snow arrives I would guess a lot of it will be gone.

Scott's become a hiking punk maniac!!!

Hiking, punk. I never thought I would like being called a punk but there is something youthful about it so thanks Brent, I'll take it. .:p.

We need to get out again, Whale Peak was fun. I would really like to do Palm Canyon as far back as possible? I have still never had the pleasure of seeing a Big Horn Sheep. :frown:

I'll be camping atop Cucamonga this Saturday weather permitting. If anyone is interested. let me know.

Palm or Coyote to upper falls? Either sounds fun.

Commited to the Toys for Tots campout Dave is doing down on Pendleton the weekend of the 10-11th. Following weekend is my BD and then we get into the Christmas and New Year's holidays, so it doesn't look like it for December. :frown:

Ahhh...I can just feel the cold, crisp air looking at your pictures. Nice share. Let's catch up soon.

Hi Eric-

I saw your post about doing the rebuild, wish I lived closer man I would love to help out. Let me know if you're ever up for a wheel and a hike. I would like to hike Palomar and some of the other hill tops down your way.

Take care.

I'll do that. I'll call you. Anything planned for December?
