Runningboards off! It looks and feel (getting out) like I have a lift already.

Didnt want to start a thread based on an EZ mod if you can call it that.

But Ill start anyway to motivate me to install the lifts laying in my garage.
Took off the running boards finally. And I can say from experience, it will be a pain in the ass for somebody 5'6'' in height to get in the Land Cruiser with the OME heavies. Sliders are next though.

It was kinda funny looking at my kids trying to get in without running boards. Especially getting out of the truck. I almost fell out the first time getting out.

Next pics hopefully next week with lifts in.

try being 5'8" with 38's and over 9 inches of lift:doh: ..it's a good thing I have my youth and a running start. I'll worry about the kids when they are in the picture some day. it is a little interesting getting out when you or your passengers forget :D

nice:beer:

LX - like I said before you need to get another LC to play with outside the asphalt! H, hope to see you and your rig again.

Sam - Thanks. 9" of lift equals wifey no ridey in my truck! Take your time with the kids cuz youll never run out of them. :D

Alan, I still don't know how you can sleep at night knowing there are uninstalled heavies in your garage.

Looking good my man. You are on the way. Taking your time does have it's advantages as the wife will get used to not using the running boards anymore and will bitch er I mean voice her concerns less when the lift is on. :grinpimp:

We needed another thread featuring a white FZJ,even if it has LX wheels, those damn pink panties are trying to take over. We need to restore the natural order. :flipoff2: ;p

...

Oh I caaannn sleep at night. :crybaby: Wawawawawa Q2hrs.

I think the problem is that I put the kit in an isolated corner of the garage. Now if I put it somewhere the wife sees or steps or trips over it...thennnnn I will be forced to install it right then and there. ;) :D

I should be lifted before the Calico cleanup for sure.

Those LX rims were a bargain (for me) from one of the MUD members from San Jose -$200 for 4. My front end vibrations going at 70mph ended when I put those OEM spec rims on.

I should be picking up a spare chrome LX rim from Smitty next month.
Too much blacked out rims in the group - need some bling!

On the increasing # of LX, not everyone puts on the real deal mustard...;p :)

Looks good man. Talk about not being able to sleep.... i tried working on the rig in the rain tonight... cause i couldnt just stare at the new parts sitting on the patio. :( any longer. Needless to say, i only got about 1/4 of the way through my swing out install... guess i shouldn't be rushing things.

Oh man - do you need someone to drill and tap four holes again! :flipoff2:

I forgot about that! Still Q2hrs! I thought you would be at least Q130Min by now. :flipoff2: Seriously I sympathize with you.

dude, I just googled your address.
on Saturday when you get a call asking you to drive to LAX and pick up your uncle, leave the garage unlocked.
When you arrive and see the lift gone....know that you have been warned.

kidding....
but not much!
hurry the hell up already, or they're mine!

I was going to do it this Sun but didnt have time to pass by MAF to buy some spacers for the front. Oh well. ;p
Simon, it is safe beside the OMEs. Added some cosmetic enhancements to your design. :D
Paul - Arent you going for a 4'' lift?

why? when it's all so nice and organized right there for the takin!

what's the black salute thingy?

we should add that to the SoCal 80's logo! give up the props to IH8MUD.

if you want , call MAF and get the spacers, I can pick 'em up for ya. ( i mean myself...)

Paul, I purchased an improved version of the t case skid plate from Sarmon Prods. I just added the MUD salute to it.

MAF is closed over the weekend unless you have the keys. :D Wheres you at (near MAF) - Ill probably stop by on Mon and get the spacers.

Where'd you pick up the mud salute sticker???
