Looks like the desert heat killed my VSS. Speedo went crazy then dead after crossing Death Valley today. Finally died in Vegas after hitting 114degrees out. OBDII giving zero signal, then crazy when speedo spins up to 100+ when going 65 as confirmed by GPS.

Will be in Williams AZ tonight (19 Aug), and Cortez CO tomorrow (20 aug), and near Leadville on the 21st and 22nd. If any Mudders are nearby and can spare a few minutes to swap out their VSS for a quick test, that would be great. Would rather test it out before plunking down $120 at a dealer en-route to find out it is not the issue.

Would like to get the Cruise back, as we still have 2500 miles to go on our roadtrip. At least the AC is still blowing cold.

Steve

Update - came back to life once temps outside dipped under 90 degrees on Monday. Planned on stopping by Slee on Thurs anyway, and will pickup a used VSS if they have one, as it will likely act up once back in the UT and NV deserts.
