Need pics of 90-92 front row center seat belt mounts

As mentioned in my Seat Swap Thread I am looking at the option of floor mounting seat belts in my '95. I am curious if the OEM mounts in the floor were nutserts or some sort of weld-in piece.

I pulled the center console & found that the holes for the belt mounts are there, but there are no threaded inserts to accept a bolt. I would have just tossed a 2" x 2" x 1/2" thick piece of steel under the floor to accept a bolt, but the area where these holes open up to below the floor is a sealed box.

I am considering ordering some nutserts from Cardinal Components, as they carry nutserts specifically for use with seat belt mounts. I'll have to measure the holes to be sure that they are the correct size for the aforementioned nutserts though.

Basically I just want to see the OEM mounts to have some idea how far-fetched my proposed mounting solution is.

I have a 91, and the holes are not under the center console, they are right near the rear inner seat bolt, just outside the perimeter of the center console. I can take pics, but it'll be tomorrow at least.

Yeah, after I posted that I realized I meant to say I removed the console so I could pull the carpet up. Do you know if the bolts are the "standard" 7/16" x 20 tpi?

Good luck man. Haha. I bought 91/92 seats for my 93 and had this problem. I ended up selling those seats and buying some out of a 93-97 that had the receiver attached to the seat. It is going to be a PITA to get to the underside for the retainer nut. And with seat belts you dont want to do it half ass. When I discovered this I did some searching here on MUD and only found a handful of people that ran into this problem also. I dont know why Mr. T couldnt just keep the retaining nut on the underside, he already put the hole in the floor. Good luck to you, hope you get it fixed up.

Thanks busmup, but I was hoping to get a look at the actual threaded insert that the bolt screws into. I'm thinking of using some Nutserts specifically made for seat belt mounts, but am curious if the OEM mounts were nutsert type, or if they were some kind of weld-in deal.
