This is not the most 'tech-ish' post I've ever written but I could not find the MUD arts & crafts section. :p I've been wanting to do this for a while and finally got around to it today. I freshened up the white lettering on my faded rear mudflaps. First photo is of the newly painted left flap and the old faded right flap. Made a big difference for only $4.50 and it was actually a lot of fun painting them. Paint pen worked very well.

Nice! I did that once. A very tedious task to say the least. Looks good:cheers:

A bit tedious, yes.

Or you can cut along the top of the land cruiser name to trim the flap height to help not rip it off when reversing in thick mud/snow/rocks/obstacles and having it get caught against the tyre... :)

cheers,
george.

I'm with George on this one. To each his own. Fortunately when I bought mine new in '94 the mud flaps were blacked out lettering which I prefer.

You've done a nice job on the restoration.

Very true. I'm not too hardcore here in central-Missouri. I am considering losing the running boards, however. Still on the fence. :hhmm:
