Well, my search for a replacement for the '91 is finally over. Please allow me to introduce...my next project.

- 1993 FZJ80
- White with gray leather interior
- Open diffs
- Stock everything else
- It's does not have a 3F-E; I liked the 3F-E for it's reliability and off road capability, but I can really fell the difference in power.

Soon --very soon-- it will have a snorkel, hopefully 35's and my old 2.5" lift (from the '91).

Here she is:

Congrats! Great choice on years!!!:grinpimp:

I know...isn't it great?!? Can't wait to wax it.

yep

Looks like you even got one that had the "dent under the tail light" option just like mine:o

Here it is lifted, with 35's. There are many future plans, but I have already bartered for sliders, a transfer case skid plate and I have already purchased the Aussie rear locker that will be installed this week.

I had to replace the right front brake rotor and pads; it was worse than metal-to-metal, as there wasn't much metal left.

If you have never changed a rotor on one of these, it is not a one banana job the first time around; fortunately there is a good writeup that explains things quite well.

I had some sliders made up and installed on Friday. I decided to go with something a little more family-friendly, so they can be used as a step. May make for a rock grabber, but I can live with that.

I have since Rhino-lined these for better traction.
