Well, after forgetting to remove my mudflaps on the last wheeling trip in the rocks, I paid the price by backing over the flap and tearing it and the accomanying rr fender flare in one huge piece :doh:

After the many cameras came out a-clickin' and the laughs died down, I figured some mods were needed beyond replacing the flare. (And no, I decided not to deflare due to the outward offset of the tires)

At first I removed all the mudflaps which was ok but I personally prefer at least the caps. SO..out came the mini-sawsall and I trimmed them up. Maybe this will help someone who is curious on what that would look like before they start cutting.

The amount of trimmed flap below: Front on left, rear portion on the right.

2nd pic rear trimmed flap, 3rd picture front trimmed flap.

I think there is enough removed to come to a good compromise where I can run them all the time this way and not cause problems off-road for most situations.
