On my wife's 95, I have a couple of things going on. So far I have put new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and O2 sensors on and still have these problems. I has 165k miles. I have ran 83 & 87 octane to see if it was petrol related too. It is still throwing a 170 code (https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/269925-po170.html)
On the highway when the engine is in the 2200 to 2400 range the RPMs will drop about 200 to 500 and then go back up like the engine is cycling through something. When I add more throttle without kicking it down a gear, it goes away.
So when we get somewhere, sometimes it is hard to start. It will act like it is going to, but usually takes 3 or 4 times to get it running.
Any ideas?
