I just wanted to post up a few pictures of the newest (very minor) mods.

The first was purchasing a newer style center console (with the top extra hatch). I installed that then took my old cup holder and retro fitted it to the side of the shifter housing. This way, the passenger has a place to put their drinks, beverages, etc.

The second mod was adding a rear hatch light. I dug out the harness (stuck in the roof corner panel under the headliner). I was to lazy to dremel out the metal plate so I just used some self taping screws and bolted it right to the roof. Looks good and no, its doesnt look all ghetto (not that there is anything wrong with that ;) )

The third mod, well, its not really a mod but more of an eye catcher........its my 6 year old daughters pirat flag mounted on the antanna. It is all beat up and tattered so it looks good! :D

That was all, just wanted to share the little, not so important mods I did today.

Cheers,
Chans

Nice extinguisher.....

So Wheres the flag pic?? :D

Oh ya, the extinguisher..............I still dont know why I put it there!

The flag is limp (that doesnt sound right to say does it??) so its not sticking out in the picture (ok, that really doesnt sound right to say now!)

The cupholder is a great idea. (the wheels are turning)

I like your cargo area overhead light.

good looking rig, what lights do you have on the rack?

You know, I think they are pro comp?? They were inexpensive (I didnt want to say the word "cheap") from 4wheelparts. They have metal backing and work pretty damn good to light up the road etc.

I just went out and took this shot. The lights work pretty damn good for being inexpensive.

What year rig did you get the newer consol from i would love to try and pick one up for mine.

Also the light harness for the rear is it pre-existing or are you saying you pulled the wires from the other light and tied new wires into it?

I believe the console is just has to be from a rig with leather from years 1993-1997???? Not 100% sure though. My rig is a 1993 with cloth and a friend of mine has the same year but with leather and his console is the one like I just purchased.

As for the rear light harness, its there in the top left (driver side) corner. They were pre wired for the back cargo light.............but the US models never were sold with the light.

Quick question. Can you move the passenger seat all the way forward with the cup holder where it is?

Buck

Good question..............and the answer is..........almost. I knew that was an issue before I installed it though. The seat will almost go completely forward but not all the way.

About the cupholder location, I was going to mount a few things there, (CB mike, foldaway cupholder, etc.) but I kept deciding that it would be in the way of the Passengers knee and would either be knocked off by the passenger or hurt the passengers knee - anything like that going on here?

Maybe I will rethink this. Wow, rethinking cupholder locations, you'd think I didn't have 10 more things to do, but this stuff is a great distraction!

Thanks, Dan.
