Trying to get ready for the Jamborie in Texas this next weekend, so I've been trying to get some things done. I got a '91 battery tray from my brother - so that started a whole mess of work.

First - I was about to break down and buy a washer relocation bracket, then I mentioned buying one to my wife, who said "It sure is a good thing you can make that stuff yourself so you don't have to spend that money." Guess that pretty much ment I was building. I searched mud and looked at about all the different washer relocation brackets I could find. Definately lots of different ways to skin this cat, and I think I skinned it just a little different than the others. You'll notice the picture of the bracket alone is slightly different from in the truck. I had to cut the 'arms' off and move them up to the top of the cross piece that the wasther bottle bolts to so I could actually close the hood! Just a little whoops, and it's all hooked up and working fine.

Nice fab work, I wish I knew how to weld....

and of course, all that to put in another battery - I changed all the connectors too. Boy, I'll tell ya', Toyota sure didn't give alot of extra length on the wires. The terminal on the stock battery I picked up at Walmart of all places. It has two holes with set screws for 0-4 guage and two for 8 guage. One of the big ones is for the starter, the other runs welding wire (cheaper than any other wire this big, and very flexible) to the 2nd batter. The little ones are for the 'other' accessories, and powers the rock lights.

The gold possitive on the second battery - well in the battery box - batter will get bought tomorrow or next day - has the same hookups 2- 4's and 2 - 8's but laid out a bit different. One big one is from the main battery, the other goes to a 100 amp fuse on the back of the 2nd battery box all the way to the back of the truck to a distribution block, 0 guage in, 3 4-8 guage out - to power the inverter and the rear winch, and ultimately an amp, but that's not gonna happen for a while. There's two relays on the back of the battery box too. It was an easy mounting spot, especially since I mounted them and wired them while the box was out of the truck.

and one more thing that's actually been in the truck for a while, but I've never put up any pictures of is the Rancho air compressor for the remote shock control. I modified the Lexus car phone bracket to put the compressor on it. Worked out pretty good.
