Engin serial number and vin number? (1 Viewer)

I found some information on the 1fz but not for the older 3f. The question is, does the engine serial number have anything to do with the vin number? I am trying to figure out if my enging has been replaced. I have 294000 miles on the odometer, and that makes me wonder if the stock engine could have made it that far. The engine looks clean compaired to the transmission.

Without the build sheet from Toyota (available through your local parts dept), it is pretty difficult to determine if you have the original engine, as VIN's and engine serial numbers aren't identical.

Check around Mud and you'll see lots of 3F's have gone well past 294K miles...that's what happens when Toyota builds it!
