Hey, new to ih8mud
i have an 83' fj60 Ive been working on since about October last year
Had sooo many problems with vacuum leaks
But now it has a manifold leak and i already fixed one about a month ago, so im getting fed up with it
so i decided to finally get rid of the old motor and put in a v8
that is as long as i get the loan tomorrow at the bank

does anyone know what all ill need to buy for the transfer
i figured a rebuilt overdrive transmission, along with custom exhaust

anyone got any ideas

My parts list (all I can think of now)

Engine, transmission, transfer case, drive shafts, wiring harness, depending on what engine you go with, gearing and maybe axles, engine mounts, exhaust (like you said) instrument cluster (unless you get the stock one wired up correctly.

Well depending who you ask Yes but we do all our work at home in the back yard. The shop address is a friend of mine here who does great machine work.

so far i have about half the parts the only major ones i have left is the wire harness and an adapter for the transfer case
