Installing a 4* castor shim in the front axle soon.

Others that have done it, did you need a longer spring pin/bolt?

4.25 pin to pin on the front shackle. Searching the archives looks like the 4* will be a little bit more than the stock 1* of castor, but I'm good with a little less drift on the highway. Whatchyallthinkofthat?

TIA

I didnt put one in my truck with the 4 degree shim. The axle caught enough that it wouldnt pop off the pin unless i lifted it a little bit (aka it wouldnt come off if just shoved), so with a 100 ft-lbs on the u-bolts i figured it would be fine. If i had to do it again, i would at least make a trip to the hardware store and look for a hardened washer the right size to slip under the bolt. It works fine without it, but it would probably be worthwhile to at least look inot a spacer.

Ive got 2 inches over stock up front with the 4 degree shim and it tracks straight as an arrow.

Thanks fellers. That's what I needed.
