Getting the pig ready for winter. I don't like having ANY car trouble during winter around here. :D

I've driven this rig a half a dozen times this summer and the last two times I've driven it it's been stalling like it's out of gas; full tank. Empty filter. Not the first time it's happened. In the past I've back blown the line and the problem went away. I'm "over" little stuff though. I'm determined to make this rig 100% so my wife can use it without gripes or little problems. I've made a list and fuel system is #1 on it. Swapped fuel pump, filter, and all rubber lines. I'll be dropping the tank next to check the pick up and sender. The autometer guage never reads past half a tank.

After dropping all the petrol out of it, i thought I'd post a thread for some insight (after a shower and some excederin). The fuel coming out had zero rust and tasted normal. I'm going to commence my thread search but if anyone has had similar issues: please help. Drives around town all day long with no problem but chokes when I put the spurs to her. What am I missing?

Thank you.

Not real excited about your mis-matched sender/gauge. What is your V8?, could it be that you have an injected engine that requires 15 or 50 psi, and you are still using the stock pump? This might keep up with idle or slow speeds, but will fart every time you put your foot into it!!!
