Any Reason to go with OEM on this??? Could I just use CCOT and a little silicon?

CCOT - $27 vs OEM $125+.

I can't imagine why not. Huge difference in price.! The weatherstripping I got from CCOT was fine. Also I'm not sure if you need to use silicone on that. All the rigs I've had in the past have not appeared to have any silicone there or residuals of it. The compression alone on a strip of rubber that wide should be enough. If not then try the silicone. Several months ago, I went through the same thoughts and bought the CCOT version. I have not installed it because it is very simple, and it looks like one could do as well with a box cutter and a $15 roll of garage door weather stripping. My CCOT version is for sell at $15 plus postage(enough to get the weather stripping).

I have an OEM one I'll send you. We can trade something if you want. I'll check to see how stiff it is. I think it is in decent shape.

PM me with your address if you are interested.

OEM is significantly thicker.. can't comment on how well the CCOT one works though...

I'll send you some "cruisercrap" for your troubles. ;)

PM on the way..

I did go ahead and order the CCOT seal - I'll compare the two and report back on this tread.

Here are the pictures. Iam not sure I want to use the CCOT bottom gasket. They included a piece of foam weather stripping with it. Iam going to call them on Monday, and see what the deal is. As for the top gasket, CCOT on Left, there's is very close to OEM and Iam going to use it.
