BVSV and thermostat questions...

2/79 FJ40 and I need a BVSV...problem...PO configuration has me confused

Top of thermostat housing has a pink BVSV, the bottommost BVSV on the lower thermostat housing is gray, and the topmost BVSV on the lower thermostat housing is greenish blue (broken one I need to replace.)


My 1981 2F FSM on emision control, doesn't show a top thermostate BVSV, the middle one for the EGR system is denoted as violet, and the lower one for the choke opener system is denoted as pink.

Does anyone have the applicable emission manual and if you do can you tell me what the color code is and what systems they operate?

Thermostats; plan on running a water pump with cooler, does it matter if I run a 180 or 190 thermostat? Pros and cons either way?

Gaskets for the water pump and water inlet (thermostat housing) which mount to the block, should I use any sealant in addition to new gaskets?
