I understand HOW it works. The FSM for the 2006 LC wont be available till April otherwise I'd figure it out for myself. I thought this system has been on the LX for a while and someone may have a little insite on how it works.

Mostly what I want to know is where the sensor located and how it will be affected by aftermarket wheels and tires.

From what I understand, the TPMS sensors are located in each wheel. You can buy aftermarket sensors that are compatible or you can mount your existing sensors on most aftermarket wheels. If there is no way to screw them on, you can strap the sensor to the center of the wheel. The sensors will work with just about any tire you can mount on the rim. Some guys even bypass the system and put all 4 sensors in a small inflated tire to keep the warning lights from going off.

From the FSM of my 2006 LX and talking to a few people. The sensors may not be a bolt on on other wheels since they have different inner contours. The receivers are located on the side view mirrors.

I think toyota's system is fairly simple since the system only tells you if a tire has low pressure but dosen't tell you which one unlike the Honda Odyseey.
