I have a white 2k LC. The door moldings have dings and the normal faded center stripe. I painted dark grey metallic on the fender molding only which looked GREAT until the wife pointed out it now didn't match the bumpers!!
I found a "satin nickel" metallic that Valspar makes that is a VERY close match to the silverish/goldish front and rear bumper. I got the driver's side done today but must say the Valspar paint sucks badly! Horrible trigger and seems to spew out a thick uneven coat of paint.
Rustoleum is much much better. Auto paints are fine too, but for the plastic moldings the cheaper brands work great and stick to darn near anything.
So if anyone is planning to paint moldins, stay away from Valspar!!!
Having said that mine turned out ok, but it wasn't easy to get a few light coats like it is with higher quality rattle can. I'll post pics when I can. Looks better w/o all the door dings they used to have!!
