rated up to ten amps... what's the roof circuit call for?

also, what's the napa price on those? the local napa was around ~20 but the bussman brand is 6.99 for the mini blades (atm) and 5.99 for regular (ato) at autozone.

Moon roof is 10 amp. I think i paid just over 10$

Well the roof worked but the tild blew the fuse...

I was wrong, 10 amp is for the HDJ, well there is 2 currents feed on the HDJ one from a 40amp and a other frome the dome fuse 10amp.

The HDJ moon roof ECU is feed through 2 wires through one 40 amp fuse. I took the wire that wasn't connect and instead of using the dome 10 amp fuse, i use the 40 amp rear AC, and un the holder i installed a 20 amp fure instead of 10amp. I know the napa holder is rated for 10amp. But the amperage rises only when the roof motor spike when it completely closes or open. So just a current spike to stop the motor.

I got one similar to that I used for installing the radar detector in wifes 335i...worked like a champ.

Same thing i just did on Thursday... picked a switched circuit so the V1 doesn't draw on the battery. Ham radio is on a constant hot circuit using a 15 amp fuse in one of these as well.

40a current on that light gauge wire - even briefly many times - is a fire waiting to happen.

I have a 20amp fuse and the holder is on a 30 amp circuit. If the 20amp fuse blow THEN i will hard wire the thing with a inline fuse directly with the battery.

I used 16 ga wire when i connected to the OEM connector in the pillar, and the wire size used by toyota was alot smaller. so there can't be much current going there. Mostlikely more then 10, if the fuse doesn't blow then 10 - 20..

is it perhaps a light wire to a relay, and the motor itself is wired separately with heavier gauge on a higher rated circuit?
