Clarke 95E 95 arc welder - 1/4"?

skeptical if this

welder can weld a 1/4" plate. what do you guys think?

Marginally under ideal conditions would be my guess. I think I set my Lincoln buzz box at 120 or 135 amps with 1/8" electrodes for 1/4" plate. You could probably do it with multiple passes.

I'd say you'd be real lucky to be able to weld 1/8" It weighs 27 lbs so you can figure the duty cycle at 100 amps will be something like 5% or so... You get what you pay for.
