What air wratchet/tool/gun what ever you call it work the best with my CO2 tank driving it? And for starters, if I were to only have one air wrench what would you recommend? Thanks for the education. merry christmas!!

I would suggest an 1/2" impact wrench if you're going to own just one air tool.

For a "first" tool I agree on the 1/2" impact. For a trail impact, I carry the IR2115, smaller, lighter and plenty of power, also a good option for a primary impact, but more $$$.

I just learned that unless you are running it for extended periods of time you should be okay. It will freeze up if your cutting or doing four tires as fast as possible.
Also, just learned that CO2 will dry out your gun more quickly than regular air so more frequent oiling is required. __________________ Overlander 80 - No Brush Marks ![]() '97/80 ~4" lift - Bull Bar w/Warn 9,500 lb. - 35" MUDS - Sliders - Ext. Are you guys suggesting 1/2" for the first air tool because it will be rated at more foot pounds that a 3/8" and therefore be able to handle all the heavy duty jobs one typically needs an air tool for?

That's why I would suggest it. It gets more torque than a 3/8" drive, and cost can be comparable. A 3/4"+ impact is going to be more than most people would ever need, and usually be quite expensive. If you look hard enough, you can find some higher-end 1/2" drives that can produce 800+ ft/lbs of torque in F or R.

However, 1/2 is going to reasonably priced and easily replaced. Ingersol Rand and Snap-On are my two favorites. I am using a 1000 ft/lbs 1/2 Ingersol and love it. I can click most things off with that gun, but the going gets tough, the 3/4 Snap-On 1100 ft/lbs always seemed to getrdun! __________________ The Boone '85 4runner (sold) '91 FJ80 (3fe powa) '94 FZJ80 (lockered) '98 4runner (sold) "Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't know."
