The nipple with the double barb is the one that has the duck bill valve connected to it. The duckbill valve goes on the reed or pipe and is located just inside the tank.

The nipple with the single expansion ring goes to the oil pickup body that is in the bottom of the oil tank.

It is a crazy simple system. Piston moves up and down in the cylinder. The movement of the piston pressurizes the crankcase (positive or negative). The positive pressure goes through thought he reed or pipe and pressurizes the oil tank. The duck bill valve allows the pressure into the tank but does not let the pressure out because the "lips" close. The pressure in the oil tank pushes the oil out of the tank through the oil discharge pipe and into the oilpump and onto the chain.

Pressure in a crankcase is rarely over 2psi.

There is a duckbill valve in the hole on the fuel tank.
