Nice idea but to much changes needed at the vehicle bumper, the winch and its even turning to much below the bumper.
Even better would be a winch with a vertical drum like the Hickey Sidewinder in the early days of wheeling, but somehow none of the known brands has something like that on he market, as far as i know.
Soooo i guess there would be a market for something different.
I also see the winch pivoting and digging right into the mud/ground/rocks. It's not an easy thing to do to try to control a winch that wants to move with 8,000 pounds of pull on it.
"The very worst thing you can to to a cruiser is half thought out mods that are underfunded and never quite get finished. Then you end up with hacked junk that doesn't work, and some future owner will curse you and all of your children."
Is this supposed to help with spooling up too much wire rope in a single spot on the winch? If not, I don't see what its supposed to do. They never really give an explanation in the video.

its got a hoop that has an eye through it which senses which way the cable is pulling from if you look closely. The hoop then talks to some sort of electronics to rotate the winch based on what position the cable is pulling from.
I could see a mechanical system that works like an "ambassador fishing reel" having some benefits, but this system looks over complicated with sensors and electronics, a big no-no for the mud wheeling crowd.
