a normal person would of just pulled it out with the other excavator , or dug himself out like a real operator .

seriously what a waste of time .

but a good example of compound winching .

I have stuck an excavator before. Their is no digging yourself out ,when everything you can reach is mud. The other excavator could probably do it though. Suction is a bitch.

i have seen plenty of people dig them selves out of worse situations then that . it doesn't even look like he tried .

that mud didn't look like it would suck the machine in . the other hoe would have much more pulling power then that land cruiser .

i agree though suction is a bitch . some times a old weak machine in the mud doesn't do that good , seen old hoes stick the buckets in the mud and get them stuck under the right conditions .

the whole thing just looks like a big waste of time to me .

IMHO: If there is no bottom (in reach) to the mud, peat, or whatever you cannot dig yourself out. Not by yourself or with 20 excavators. It looks like the turf was the main structural element of the soil and with it broken the hoe was helpless...
