WARN m12000 value
What is a fair price to ask for a Warn m12000 winch? Good condition, no remote, but it has a fairlead.

Those two factors would place it on the lower end of the spectrum imo.
I would offer 500 and see where it goes from there.

IMO, a 12000 in good shape should go for way more than 500, even without remote ($50?). These things are normally $1100 new now if you shop.
Age is basically irrelevant for this kind of winch, condition matters much more, IMO.

Yep, being 10 yrs. old who knows what it's been through or how intact the internals are. I bought mine for $650 off Ebay & it was complete & in good workin condition.......

Used equiptment like that is usually worth about 1/2 the new price. If a new one is roughly $1000, $500 is a good place to start offers. I bought mine new when I was in a hurry for $1050. I wish I'd bought used since they get used so rarely.
