wait three more days and i'll decide if i can recommend anyone near me when i did mine, i went through bbb, hopefully i won't get screwed. since it's garage, are you doing any ventilation or anything?

have fun with it babe. it's a pita going through all the quotes. i've got to do a complete scrapeoff thanks to crooked p.o.s and, of course, the only crappy days of the month are going to happen on the two days they're doing my roof.

You have 232 friends in the local area that have all done roofing at one point or another, myself included. Why don't you pick a weekend, grab a group (six should be more than enough) and do the garage? We resheeted my entire house and reshingled it in a weekend starting with Friday night 6pm tearoff. We finished by 3pm on Sunday with four guys. My garage was 4 hours start to finish. I did rent a dumpster which saves lots of time. The weekend we did mine you could have cooked a steak on the tar paper. You know I'd help.

with the amount of leaking yesterday, it may be an 'immediate' need, not something I can wait on...stalling may cost me more in damage than the labor savings are worth...

do you have any tarps you can nail down for the moment? i went a week with an old military tarp nailed to my roof when it peeled off in a windstorm a year ago.

mine just got bumped a week due to the only freakin' snow in march coming in on the two days my roof was scheduled

I'm getting quotes on mine right now too. House is 7 years old and the roof is shot. Apparently the manufacturer (Certainteed) may have known they were selling junk. Class action suit being formed. Just need to decide if I can wait as long as the courts will drag it out or take the $ offered, which is about 1/10th of the cost of tear off and replacement. Thnkin just take the $ and run. In todays biz climate they may go belly up before paying out.
Feel any better Woody?

flurries right now, some 'big' snow coming this weekend (depending on which forecast putz you believe)

sounds like he has time in the next week or two, would be nice to get done sooner than later (especially the garage!)

with luck, all happens at once....one dumpster fee that way

he's my ex-wife's nieces husband...

that sentence sounds like a quote from the Springer show...

In any event, good luck with that roof of yours.
Scott
